Over-egging the pudding risks you being a day late, a buck short…

Perfection kills momentum in recruitment. Zinger helps recruiters take fast, effective action with simple, repeatable habits that drive results.

I live by the 80% good, 100% now mantra.  In recruitment you have to.  My business partner used to say “by the time you dwell on it, you’ve missed the boat.”  Striving for perfection in everything you do – client reach outs, shortlists, candidate submissions, et al. – will likely render you a day late and a buck short in recruitment, more often than not.

Simply performing the action itself, beats A-Grade inaction, every day of the week.

Let’s be honest, recruitment isn’t a particularly technical sport… I mean, not in the way Engineering or Medicine are.  It’s a process-driven vocation.  Along that process, are lots and lots of mini-milestones typical of a 360-degree recruitment process.

But for the reasons above, each step in that sequence, doesn’t need to be war and peace… Zinger gets this!  Simple themes for each step, designed to get recruiters DOING.  Example; instead of a 1-hour training session on “Mapping your Market”, Zinger gives you a few guidelines to develop a targeted, robust prospect list.  Instead of a 1-hour training session on “Developing a Capability Statement”, Zinger prescribes having a one-pager highlighting your agency’s focus/specialism, a USP or two (why we’re different) and a couple of client testimonials.

The point is, anything more than this is not only overkill; it’s overegging the pudding.  Then it risks becoming a productivity killer… a negator of action, right now!  As my business partner used to say… by the time you dwell on it, you’ve missed the boat.

Don’t be a day late and a buck short…
